At the Law Office of David H. Abrams our clients find an attorney, and support staff, all of whom are dedicated to fighting for their economic rights.

We define our practice as a "Consumer Rights" practice. That is, we represent individuals and families in disputes arising out of transactions which were entered into for personal, family, or household purposes. This can include legal issues such as: Defense of Debt Collection lawsuits; Consumer Bankruptcy; Mortgage Foreclosure Defense; Automobile Sales or Financing Fraud; Debt Collection Abuse including Fair Debt Collections Practices Act Claims; Predatory Lending; Enforcement of Tenant Rights and other claims arising under the State and Federal Consumer Protection law.

For consumers facing debt problems we offer both Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy representation where appropriate. However, we are not a "bankruptcy mill", offering bankruptcy as the solution to every client’s financial problems. Instead, we carefully examine our client’s economic situation and determine with the client what course of action is most likely to lead to the outcome desired by the client. Frequently, our experience with consumer protection statutes allows us to offer our clients an option other than bankruptcy.

We take special pride in our ability to serve members of our community throughout their lifespan. Our firm is experienced with matters such as simple wills and trusts, guardianship, Powers of Attorney, and Healthcare directives. We also represent Children in a variety of matters such as Juvenile Delinquency Defense and enforcement of Education Rights.

Lastly, unlike many of our competitors, our practice began with, and has remained committed to consumer rights. We are not a former real estate practice or other type of law firm looking for clients in a slow legal economy.
